This thesis explores the effectiveness of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in improving students’ speaking skills. The study emphasizes that CLT shifts the focus from grammatical accuracy to real-life communication and interaction. The approach encourages learners to participate actively in classroom discussions, perform role-plays, and engage in collaborative activities that mirror authentic communication. As a result, students become more confident and fluent in expressing their ideas in English. The paper also highlights that CLT integrates all four language skills — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — with a particular emphasis on speaking competence. The findings suggest that applying CLT principles enhances not only linguistic skills but also learners’ motivation and self-confidence.
