THE ROLE OF IMAGING TECHNOLOGIES IN IMPROVING SURGICAL OUTCOMES
Keywords:
Imaging technologies, surgery, preoperative planning, intraoperative guidance, surgical outcomes, medical imagingAbstract
Imaging technologies play a pivotal role in modern surgical practice by enhancing diagnostic accuracy, optimizing preoperative planning, guiding intraoperative decision-making, and improving postoperative assessment. Advances in medical imaging, including ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and hybrid imaging modalities, have significantly transformed surgical workflows. This article aims to analyze the role of imaging technologies in improving surgical outcomes. The findings demonstrate that accurate imaging reduces intraoperative complications, shortens operative time, and contributes to better functional and clinical results. Integration of imaging into surgical practice represents a cornerstone of patient-centered and precision surgery.
